Welcome to The Rock a Deli Cafe in Rosarito Mexico, home of the "kick ass" hoagies.
Louie is a retired U.S. Air Force service member and construction worker from San Diego, Ca. who moved down to Rosarito about 13 years ago and Bell is his lovely wife who makes a lot of the wonderful salads and baked goods by hand. In March of 2003 they took over the front deli space at the Festival Plaza Hotel right in the heart of the Rosarito Beach tourist area.
Now they and their family serve up some of the freshest baked goods and awesome fresh bread hoagies cooked on the spot by the master chief's themselves Bell and Louie.
Come on up to the counter and check the place out and meet the owners.
Just in case there was any doubt as to how good the hoagies are, Louie has put up a sign for those who may have any questions. In a world of fish tacos and encheladas, this is a welcome change of pace for great local dining.
Here is a fresh pan of cheescake brownies, and a fresh loaf of banana bread made by wife Bell and family....it was awesome!
I still can't figuire out how Louie stays so thin.

The best hoagies, salads, breakfast wraps, and baked goods in addition to being the best hosts and people to visit in Rosarito!
There are many great places to go and visit in Rosarito, but one place that is an absolute must for everyone is The Rock a Deli Cafe.
Louie and Bell are a great source of information and fun people to hang out with for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
He opens at 6AM and closes at 10:00PM, although he is often open much later.

This is a beautiful ara to stay and visit and it is only an hour south from downtown San Diego.
The view south down the sidewal the other way.
There is a nice seating area at the deli and the four chairs in front are a perfect place to have breafast and just people watch.
And with a personal waiter you are never going to have to lift a finger.
Just relax and enjoy the action at Festival Plaza.
